Watched Black Swan the other night and needless to say, full attention was given to the Rodarte-designed costumes...

Loved the gala gowns worn by Nina (though really just the intricately woven back) and Beth (80's fab), but the sport-luxe outfits during the rehearsal scenes were what really piqued my interest - layering, legwarmers, asymmetrical arm appliques, and interesting cutouts in the back.

Loving legwarmers right now...

Also loved the film's striking promo posters, created by British design studio LaBoca. The designs were influenced by Polish and Czech posters of the 60s and 70s.

Just returned from a wee new years trip to Sanya with the man.

Toes in the sand, little crabs in little rock pools, fresh coconuts, fresh seafood, and devastatingly beautiful sunsets.

The simple life.

Chanel Holographic. Still blows my mind and no other polish even comes close...

The day my bottle finishes/dries up will be a sad day.

Maybe I can compensate with this...?

杨泳樑

Yang Yongliang’s visually stunning digital prints are reminiscent of traditional Chinese watercolour landscape paintings (山水画), but upon closer inspection these topical images reveal the harrowing reality of urbanization and globalization in modern day China – landscapes destroyed by towering skyscrapers, cranes and pylons, and a country fast losing its sense of identity, culture and tradition.

Yang Yongliang was trained in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy from an early age.  Needless to say, his attention to detail is immaculate – even the design of his traditional red signature stamps are inspired from trivial sources such as manhole covers and bank logos.

A couple of months ago I helped out my good friends Tiff and Lynn with their AW10 shoot for their handbag label Heirloom.  The shoot took place at the lovely JIA Hotel, a boutique hotel designed by the venerable Philippe Starck.

Some behind the scenes shots~

Hope everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS~

Can't get over my obsession with Risto. I first heard of him when I saw pieces of his AW09 collection stocked at Le Lutin, but it was his SS10 collection that totally had me sweatin'.

What, with lightning and lava as his inspiration?!

New years resolution for 2011:

* Start blog (hmmm, why not start right now?)
* Cook at home three times a week (ambitious, I know)

When I went to Japan with my friend Anna two years ago, one of the things at the top of my shopping list was a depiller.  Yes, because the Japanese are BOSS at making these sorts of things and well, Chinese ones just don’t cut it - need I even say?

Since then, little Sassette has breathed new life into all my wonderful woolly things – seriously, who invents this sorta thing?  I owe my life to you.
