Postcards from Taipei...

I love me a good sky, cloud, planet, star, and pretty much every and all astronomical wonders.

Greek Sky is a fantastic site featuring loads of stunning images and a dynamic forum offering plenty inspiration.

As if the title image isn't inspired enough...

This next curious image was borne from the site's forum and is a total labour of love - the photographer painstakingly camped out for 24 hours straight and composed this image from over 500 photos.

Some awe-inspiring illustrations lifted from Japanese sci-fi books released between 1972-1985.

Vitamin C

Overdosing on this vitamin never hurt anyone, or so I've heard. Go on and prescribe me a potent dose then, fashion week!

Celine

Making turtlenecks sexy is no easy task, my friend.

Cushnie et Ochs

Carven

Homeboy's the total darling of fashion right now - I certainly can't argue with pieces this wearable...

Pretty much magic wand fail - though somehow this oddly awesome deconstruction offsets the hyper-polished look well.

Christopher Kane

Oily stickers much?!  My mind is blown.

Fresh Face Fancy

Yikes! Tis been a minute since I gave my blog some love. I've been busy over the last few weeks working on a super exciting project I can't wait to share - all will be revealed in due time!

Meantime, here's my supernova crush of the moment, the ethereally androgynous Andrej Pejic, who's been storming the fashion world/catwalks of late and has already nabbed campaigns with both Marc Jacobs and JPG.

Oh, did I mention he's a boy? One as gorgeous as they come!

He appears in the latest issue of Zeit Magazine in an editorial shot by Juergen Teller. Some of my fave shots~

Tomorrow sees the kick-off of New Zealand's short film retrospective, screening every Tuesday for four weeks. Entitled Sale St Shorts, this event will showcase New Zealand short films of the last 30 years.

Perhaps the most well-recognized of them all is the stellar and awesomely creepy Kitchen Sink, directed by Alison Maclean in 1989.

A Painterly World

Alexa Meade paints people and objects with acrylic paint to explore the illusion between reality vs. painting and 3D vs. 2D. Inspiring work~

Heavy Machinery

Whilst in Taiwan I stumbled across Heavy Machine, a local brand of killer shoes - designed and made in Taiwan.  It's always refreshing to see fearless ladies doing their thing and they have some head-turning designs in fun colourways!

The fantastic LCD Soundsystem are saying goodnight and calling it quits!  Their last show will take place on April 2 (my bday!) at Madison Square Garden - in true spirit of New York.  Those in NYC would be silly to miss this! Though I think the tickets are already sold out~

Sweet dreams LCD, you will be missed...

^__^

Can't resist posting this iconic editorial of Kate Moss from the July 1990 issue of The Face - which is, hands down, one of the best magazines to ever publish.

The then 15-year-old Kate was shot by Corinne Day and boy, what an infectious smile, young lady!

Bijules is a jewellery label helmed by the visionary Jules Kim. She burst on to the scene with her defining gold nail rings and she's been a star on the rise since. Her artistc take on jewellery continuously pushes the boundaries of accessorizing, allowing the wearer to impart their own character and beauty to her striking pieces.

Some images from her current feature in Vogue Italia.

Nothing screams a pick-me-up for these gloomy winter days more than a delicious pop of colour from Christopher Kane's SS11 collection. He does what he does best - geometric shapes, fantastic prints, fun shoes, all with just the right dose of femininity.
